Consistent Mcmenamins as usual but you have to like their beer and their food and I generally don't, but when someone says let's meet there I'm like sure ....

Nice ambiance. Good rotating menu, often changing. Good service. Nice and unique decor. Good selection of libations. Definitely recommend for small family, couples or business meals. Parking lot is too dark for the feeling of security and safety.

Kim and I love John Barleycorn of McMenamins property... Barleycorn, which refers to the barley used in malt liquor, is a term that brings joy and excitement. At John Barleycorns, you'll discover an inviting space filled with warmth and comfort, complete with dark wood accents and adorned by a striking cathedral ceiling. Outside, lush greenery surrounds the terrace area, creating a serene ambiance perfect for sipping McMenamins-strength ales or spirits. Deanna at the bar is awesome...

It's been 10 years since my Son and I graced John Barleycorns with our presence. I was staying at a hotel nearby of which we came from after watching Season 2, Episode 5 of "Strange New Worlds". The original review has held up well, with perhaps a few updates: - Their outdoor patio if very nice, of which we enjoyed a warm summer evening (but in the shade). - My Son is now "of age" so it was Maker's Mark for him and a Stout for me. - After a fairly large Lunch, we were modestly hungry and found some nice and tasty options on the Happy Hour menu. - At one angle, John Barleycorns seems to be within an industrial park, and was a bit challenging to find. One we did that, parking was easy. - Same nice service and atmosphere as before.

Parking is always available, but the staff and the food---that's the real reason we come. Whether inside or out, the staff is attentive and knowledgeable of the menu with all the yummy goodness to eat and drink. Great atmosphere and even better food and crafts!
